Here is a photograph that is a good example of what you can do with composition. The rings in the design of the back of the chair look like big glasses on the lady. This not only plays with positioning, but also with the persona it portrays- the contrast of the "goofyness" of the look of big glasses on this lady who might otherwise appear, or does appear to be serious and sofisticated. It's like opposits. Notice that the chair also "divides" her face up into equal parts (evenly).
